Corrections, source material, local records. We read everything.
You caught something wrong
Send the URL of the article, quote the claim that's incorrect, and include the source that contradicts it. We'll verify against the primary record, update the article, log the correction with a date, and move the article's modified date accordingly. We don't bury corrections or pretend they didn't happen.
You have source material
Photographs from the citrus era, Aladdin Theatre ephemera, Cocoa Village business records, family documents from the Indian River Drive families, school yearbooks, period maps, or anything else that doesn't belong only in a drawer. We can work with scans. Please include attribution and any licensing terms you want attached so the material can be credited and cited correctly. We won't publish anything without attribution.
You work with local archives
Brevard County Historical Commission, the Cocoa Village archives, library local-history collections, or any other institution that holds primary material on Cocoa and mid-Brevard. We'd rather cite the source directly than a secondary account of it, and we're glad to acknowledge the collection in the article's sources block.
What we can't help with: business licensing, current City of Cocoa government questions, and property records. For property records, the Brevard County Property Appraiser's office is the right place to start.
We read everything. Most responses within a week.
